About the publication

Built for the decisions that happen before the contractor arrives.

Home Project Clarity turns complicated proposals and project choices into practical questions a homeowner can use.

Home Project Clarity is an independent decision-support publication founded by Tim Fonseka. Its purpose is to help homeowners define projects, compare proposals, recognize unresolved assumptions, and preserve their own judgment before making a costly commitment.

What problem are we trying to solve?

Most homeowners do not purchase roofs, windows, solar systems, or bathroom renovations frequently enough to develop a reliable comparison method. Contractors understand their own proposals; homeowners often receive several documents that use different assumptions, specifications, and levels of detail.

The site closes that preparation gap. It does not tell you which contractor to hire. It helps you understand what still needs to be known before you decide.

What will we not do?

We do not sell rankings, certify contractors, guarantee outcomes, or disguise advertisements as editorial conclusions. We do not replace legal, financial, engineering, trade, or local-code advice.
